Capture four to eight family members. Build the council your descendants will consult for life.

A multi-person AI council in your family's own voices. Nine languages. Built on consent.

14 days free · Card required · Cancel anytime

Three steps to begin.

  1. Add your family members

Invite four to eight family members to the council. Each goes through individual consent: a voice recording confirming consent and a digitally signed form. No data is processed without explicit consent.

  2. Conduct the interviews

Each member records their life, values, and decisions using our two-hundred-question library across ten categories. It does not need to be done at once. Spread interviews across months.

  3. Activate the council

When all interviews are complete, your descendants can ask the council any question. Answers are synthesized in each member's actual voice and reflect the values they expressed. When members disagree, we show the disagreement rather than smoothing it over.

Who this is for.

For

  • Families where grandchildren will not get to meet grandparents or parents
  • People who want to preserve family wisdom across multiple perspectives, not just one
  • People who do not accept their data being used without consent
  • Diaspora families living between two or more of the nine languages we cover

Not for

  • If you want only one person's memoir — a single-narrator product is a better fit
  • If you want to proceed without your family's consent — consent is not negotiable
  • If you want to finish a recording and shelve it — Heirloom is a lifetime tool, not a keepsake

The founder built this for his own family first.

Heirloom was founded in 2026 by Tejune Kang after his wife asked whose advice she would want when their three-year-old son turns fifteen and starts shutting down. The answer was four family members, and three were gone or going. Heirloom is the council infrastructure he built so that question would have an answer in his own family first, then in others.

Bootstrap-funded. The first beta council was his own.

Built with input from people who do this work for a living.

  • Estate planning attorney consultation — Stradley Ronon, ongoing counsel since 2025
  • Narrative therapy review — two licensed narrative therapists reviewed the question library v3 and v4
  • Oral history methodology — former oral historian (anonymous by request) advised on interview structure and category selection
  • Consent infrastructure — designed in collaboration with privacy counsel
  • Tech stack partners — ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Anthropic, Cloudflare, Stripe

Frequently asked questions.

What if a family member does not consent?

Without consent, we do not perform voice cloning or any synthesis. Consent is the absolute requirement to open a council.

What if my language is not one of the nine?

We currently support English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Tagalog, and Hindi. Additional languages will be added in the second half of 2026.

Can my descendants use the council after I am gone?

Yes. The Family Council and Estate plans both include lifetime access. After every family member has passed, your descendants can still consult the council for the rest of their lives.
